Be Thankful for Who You Are
Here's something worth sitting with today: the words "I Am" might be the most powerful words in the English language.
I've been thinking a lot about gratitude today.
It's easy to look around at the stuff in your life—your car, your house, your gear, whatever—and feel thankful for it. And that's fine. But here's our message to you today, Be thankful for who you are, not just what you have.
That should hit different.
Because the things we have? They come and go. Stuff gets sold, breaks down, or just stops mattering. But who you are—what you bring to the table, the skills you've built, the way you show up for people—that's more permanent. Or at least it lasts a little longer.
The Two Most Powerful Words
Here's something worth sitting with today: the words "I Am" might be the most powerful words in the English language.
There's that old saying—one person says "I can't," another says "I can," and they're usually both right. What we tell ourselves matters. The story we repeat about who we are shapes what we actually do.
So today, maybe skip the usual gratitude list of possessions and accomplishments. Instead, ask yourself: What am I thankful to BE?
There's More Around Us Than We Realize
One thing that keeps coming up in conversations around town is how much talent exists right here in Russellville that we don't even know about.
Take Jacob Stanford of Ramhorn Films. This guy is quietly doing some of the best outdoor videography work in the state—maybe the country. Stunning footage. World-class quality. And he's based right here in the River Valley.
How many people like Jacob are around us that we just haven't met yet? How many brilliant, creative, hardworking people are building something amazing in their garage or spare bedroom right now?
I genuinely believe our community is full of folks like this. We just don't have a great way to discover them yet.
Looking Forward
That's what I keep coming back to. What if we had better tools—real tools built for us, not for advertisers—to actually connect with each other? To find out what's happening, who's doing cool work, and how we can support each other locally?
I don't have all the answers. But I'm convinced the talent and the passion are already here. We just need better ways to see it.

Happy Thanksgiving, Russellville.
What would it look like if we had a dedicated space—a real digital town square—to celebrate and support the people doing great work right here in our community? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
